Code of Conduct
Piksel Festival aims to provide a welcoming and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, physical appearance, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, technology choices or religion. We won’t tolerate harassment of festival participants in any manner. Any participant, performer, speaker, sponsor, volunteer, staff or audience members violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the festival event at the discretion of the organizers.
Harassment includes offensive activities and comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked by the event organizers to stop any harassment activities are expected to comply immediately.
Enforcement
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the festival organisers reserve the right to take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event and festival.
Reporting
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of event staff immediately (easily identifiable by festival badge).
A member of the event team will be happy to help participants contact security, local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We expect attendees and participants to follow these rules at all festival venues and events.
