The biggest film festival in China (its only serious competitor https://antenaweb.info/ - antenaweb.info - in the region would be the Beijing Film Festival), which starts annually at the beginning of summer. The show is actually young (in 2014 it was held only reserved for the 17th time) and contains an exceptionally extensive program. The MOBILE SIFF program grew from the previously existing international competition for student short films and, good organizers, should interest novice filmmakers. Not simply feature short films, but also documentaries and animation films can attend the struggle for prizes.

The scope of events within the SIFF Mart (film market and pitching) and SIFFORUM (lectures, seminars, round tables, master classes) might be assessed through the figures offered by the organizers. According to them, in 2013, 819 companies entered the film market (42% from abroad), and 244 applications were submitted for pitching, 29 of which are shortlisted and consequently received financial support.

Moscow IFF
Moscow, Russia / founded in 1935

MIFF, one of several oldest film festivals on this planet, is currently held annually at the conclusion of June. The chief competition of the festival, where the main prize, an exceptional jury prize and prizes for the best directorial work and of female and male roles, are awarded, is known for the point that the flicks included there by little-known directors from not the favourite cinematographies can baffle even seasoned film critics. Karlovy Vary IFF

Russian films and also the compilers of out-of-competition programs offering fresh international, experimental and radical films will not be overlooked.

The organizers with the Karlovy Vary IFF also provide a way for directors from Eastern Europe and the first sort USSR offer projects being produced or post-production to distributors and selectors of other international festivals. Due to this, special pitchings Works in Progress (feature films) and Docu Talents through the East (full-length documentaries) have been organized.
