As a user in social media... the last 15 years I use unisex usernames and avatars. So, in forums and social media, they assume that I am a guy.

When they realize I am a woman, they change the way they speak to me. They start speaking more with a tone down, but still aggressively and more condescending and patronizing. A guy with whom I was publicly fighting in a thread, suddenly PM me, to try to maybe meet, for a date. He was also a nationalist...
I would never want to meet with a person like that!
