You don't look like a tech person

I was at a concert, together with a group of 5 cis-male people. At the time we were computer science students. Most of them were older than me, so they hadn't seen me in class.
One guy asks me:
-What do you study?
When I said that I was also at the same Department as him, he looked at me surprised, and answered:
-What?? You don't look like an informatics person! And they all start laughing.
It was pretty weird... I'm still not sure, how a proper informatics person should look like.
